Faith makes things possible.  It doesn't make it easy.  I read that yesterday and it seems very appropriate.   Exercising a lot of faith to jump from all things secure!    Anxious but excited!
Was reallly anxious realizing that we are homeless when the RV needs work (RV had water pump replaced yesterday).   I wanted to go home but nowhere to go!

I went to the bank today to get a roll of quarters for laundry.  Was told to come back later.. amusing but true.  G T come back later for L.

We will officially leave on 7/5.  Still waiting for the Journey decals people! Rockin' it out!
Bye for now!

Git along little RV!   We have completed phase 1.  The house is sold, we resigned/retired and are sitting in a little campground waiting for our last day of work (7/2).  Woohoo!

Adding a photo of our new home for the next year.

The week of the Move and RV Trouble

Worst week ever. A scintillating combination of : A) Prepping and cleaning the house for settlement, B) Putting all our belongings into a storage unit, and C) Getting the RV ready for a year-long trip. The next tide will take us from shore. I digress.

Two days before settlement, Cheryl says, “I was walking past the RV and something smells like sulfur.” I hunted for the source and in so doing rested my hand on the entrance step. It was hot. Under the step are all the batteries. I opened the compartment and blue haze floated out. They were cooking.

I cut all the power sources to the batteries and called my pals at Ultimate RV in Grantville, PA. They are as busy as a mosquito in a nudist colony this time of year, but Chad Jr said to bring it there right away.

An hour later, we arrived at Ultimate RV in a rainstorm. Chad Jr checked out the converter and the batteries. One of the two coach batteries was dead, and both the converter and the other battery were trying to charge it to death. So, within 2 hours of arrival, we were the proud owners of 2 new batteries.

The rest of the week just generically sucked, except the actual settlement on our house where we received money. That was fun.
