Two days before settlement, Cheryl
says, “I was walking past the RV and something smells like sulfur.”
I hunted for the source and in so doing rested my hand on the
entrance step. It was hot. Under the step are all the batteries. I
opened the compartment and blue haze floated out. They were cooking.
I cut all the power sources to the
batteries and called my pals at Ultimate RV in Grantville, PA. They
are as busy as a mosquito in a nudist colony this time of year, but
Chad Jr said to bring it there right away.
An hour later, we arrived at Ultimate
RV in a rainstorm. Chad Jr checked out the converter and the
batteries. One of the two coach batteries was dead, and both the
converter and the other battery were trying to charge it to death.
So, within 2 hours of arrival, we were the proud owners of 2 new
batteries.
The rest of the week just generically
sucked, except the actual settlement on our house where we received
money. That was fun.
