We are leaving
Door County today. We had a great time and could have stayed here
longer but we need to head west to hit the big National Parks before
winter.
We woke to a
pouring rain and all the runoff came into to our campsite. Ugh..not
a good start to a day, let alone a day you will be tearing down and
heading out. We waited for the rain to stop and for our personal
campsite pond to subside before departing. So far no homicides so we
feel we are doing really well (aggravated assault is questionable)!
The ride to
Wyeville, WI, in one word is rural! No place to pull over and do a
stretch and fetch. Nothing, nada. This only created a true issue
when we encountered closed road signs for 21W due to bridge work.
Hard to regroup when you can't pull over. Ended up going 18 miles
out of the way but nothing earth shattering. We did see the police
and fire trucks going up 80 so that was interesting too. Can't pull
over on small county road.
The campground is
very quiet. We are basically in large field with one other trailer.
There is some excitement in the area, the local authorities are in
pursuit of 2 fugitives. Makes me a little uneasy but YOLO..lol
We did get to play 9 holes of golf at the RV parks golf course. Our
dispositions didn't really allow for a great round..lol
