Made it to the KOA in Mercer Co/Grove City on 7/5!   Our trip was uneventful and enjoyed a nice dinner/visit with Ray and Megan in the ole RV.

7/6 we loaded the dogs and ourselves to spend the day in Pittsburgh with Ray and Megan. The temperature was 97! We enjoyed the air conditioning and bowling experience at Arsenal Bowling. It is an awesome bowling alley established in 1938.

We didn't do any outdoor activities, we saved our sweat for the Pinball Perfection experience! It is not an air-conditioned venue.  Its located in West View outside of Pittsburgh.  Pinball Perfection has a museum on the lower level and the upper level contains pinball machines that can be played. The smell and atmosphere is as aged as the machines! We got the unlimited play and surrendered at closing time.  3 hours of pinball playing makes forearms sore (not sure if its from the flippers or the shaking, can't dismiss the shaking element (the most underestimated part)!

After a fine dining experience at MadMex we headed home at 1AM.  The 376 detour was not expected but did have a wake up factor.   We saw the worse truck driver ever!  That's a lot of miles between Steve and I and this truck driver was swerving everywhere, I was afraid to pass him. The truck driver should have pulled over for safety.  We did finally arrive safely at KOA around 215A.
Thanks for all the fun and hospitality Ray and Megan!

7/7 we headed to Monroe Co/Toledo North KOA in Petersburg MI. This is just an overnighter, headed to Mackinaw City, MI tomorrow.

$24.75 for 171 miles of gut-wrenching agony and white-knuckle terror on the Ohio Turnpike.

Actually, it didn't have the tire-devouring potholes of I-80 in Pennsylvania, but it more than made up for it with at least six mega-miles-long construction zones comprising about half of the 171 miles of misery. The two most charming featured: 1) A stretch where we were ordered to the left lane with the left wheels on a surface 3 inches lower than the surface the right wheels were on, a Jersey divider on the left that looked like the crew that put it down was falling down drunk, and the locals whizzing by on the right at 80+ in a 50 zone, and 2) A 4-lanes-down-to-2 section where we were 6 inches from a 6 inch drop in the road surfaces, and where in fact a truck ate it off the shoulder into a ditch. It is no wonder those nasty, gory Signal 30 movies in high school were made by the Ohio state cops. It was like they started all the highway projects at once, did the demolition and detours, then decided not to fix anything.

KOA lost electric and we thought the slides and leveling jacks were broken, not a good start.

Stupid stuff we've learned so far:
1.  Don't crush tupperware container lids in living room slide, is not good for RV or your husband's blood pressure.
2.  Don't mock husband for having issues with egg location in frig and then dump remaining 10 eggs all over floor.  Karma does exist.
3.  Put parking brake on.  If parking brake is not on, the slides will not operate.   Also not good for husband's blood pressure.  Hoping this oversight does not take longer than 2 hours to remember in future.
